    Multi-Agents: What's Actually Working
10 months ago, I wrote Don't Build Multi-Agents, arguing that most people shouldn't try to build multi-agent systems [1]. Parallel agents make implicit choices about style, edge cases, and code...

When our team tried Sonnet 4.5, we realized it was worth building a whole new version of Devin around it. This model behaves very differently! The team wrote up some of our lessons

I see a lot of people make the same mistakes building agents. So we shared a few of the principles we use

Essay's Claim: if you aren't rich before AGI then you'll become part of the permanent lower class Anyone wanna say what this essay is missing? At least one big thing: costs will trend down and everyone will have access to superintelligence. This makes centralized power hard

Today I’m excited to announce our company, Cognition, and share Devin with the world. As a kid, coding was my way of turning ideas in my head into reality. Building Devin is our way of making this possible for everyone. We want to show you all the things Devin can build!!

I’ve since had the talk! Leaving school to work on Cognition was one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made. The future couldn’t wait and I’m blessed to work with such an exceptional group of people every day.

So people are asking about a Devin run of an Upwork job. I’m the guy in the video! The primary criticism was that I didn’t transcribe the prompt verbatim, which looking back at the screenshot is accurate — I was thinking since Devin already runs inside an EC2 instance I’d try to

Embedding are fast but often wrong. General agents are good but slow. There’s now a third option

SWE-grep and SWE-grep-mini are creating a new Pareto frontier. The Fast Context agent can run 4 turns of agentic search in less than 3 seconds – approaching the speed of an embedding search.

Two years ago, agents were just a research experiment. Now, many devs use them daily. For us and the teams we work with, there was a LOT of trial & error along the way. We're sharing our main lessons in "Agents 101"

Top 1% engineers I know either love @cursor_ai or think it’s just hype. (I align w the former) I think a lot of the smart haters are trapped into doing “deeply interesting work” with little effort to shipping it But engineering is moving towards building & shipping end to end.

We’re still a small product/eng team of ~30 and people here get crazy leverage We’re on the lookout for a designer / design eng to join the family. Want to craft the way future builders work with AI? Shoot me a msg. Devin and I might personally build your ideas

We’ve raised over $400M at a $10.2B post-money valuation to advance the frontier of AI coding agents. The round was led by Founders Fund with other existing investors including Lux, 8VC, Neo, Elad Gil, Definition Capital, and Swish VC all doubling down. We’re also joined by new
