    If the US wanted to absolutely crush global competitors, it would give out 10 times more visas and greencards and issue them in 3 business days instead of months/years. Instant brain drain.

    One of my long term goals in life is to have a circle of deep local friends – people within walking distance you can drop in on any given evening. Seems really hard.

    Everyone in SF is trying so hard to be interesting that the ultimate heresy here is simply being a high functioning normal person: get married, have kids, show up for your friends, be on time, call your parents, have basic etiquette... lots of alpha in normal maxxing

    yeah sure sex is cool but have you tried cutting out 🍃every single blade of grass🍃 from an image and animating each one in css by hand to give your illustrations a subtle hint of motion?

    My hot take on fleets: actually very impressed by twitter's willingness to ship, learn, and deprecate. Most companies tend to ship and let rot.
