Don't forget the goats!

In Instapundit, Gail Heriot reports that dogs are not the only animals performing heroic duties this week. The Reagan Library hired a herd of 500 goats to

clear flammable scrub surrounding the complex as a preventative measure.

The goats ate the brush, creating a fire break that slowed the flames and gave firefighters extra time to react.

Chickens watching horses watching goats watching the sunset!

For some reason, the horses like to hang out with the chickens. Many of the chickens also like to watch the horses. In this picture there are also two black goats hanging out between the two horses.

Time for tonight's sunset!

"Please go away! I don't want to get pregnant again!"

Hangin' out

Our goats hang out with the chickens. The goat family consists of a pregnant female, Billy Goat, and a little male. Here is mama, and Billy is in the background.

Learning to adapt to your surroundings

Time to get the eggs. Oh, there's mama and papa goat, still hanging out with the chickens. Where's your baby goat? Oh, there he is, hiding from those weird chickens in a little tree. Let me tell you a secret, junior. You will soon discover that it is really fun to chase those chickens, instead of being intimidated by them!

Baby time

Lots of babies around here this morning.

The black goat in the background just gave birth a few minutes ago. I don't know if you can see her baby, which is at her right leg. I didn't want to get too close, because mama has not seen me before.

Over here at the bottom of the aspen tree are some new pups. Their dad is a beautiful golden retriever, and their mama is a poodle. Four black pups and four white ones.
