Epic...

Sounds so much better than clutter, mess, total disaster...don't you think?  And this is just a very small spot in my "play" room.  All this for one little tag!  No storage space, my excuse for not having an organized room.  After all, isn't that what the floor is for?!?!  Well thanks to my thrifty side kick, there is now a great cabinet that will contain and hide the workings of my mind.  The goal is to clean and purge before even bring the new purchase into the space.  Wish me luck!

There is nothing wrong with organised clutter but only in the sewing room.

I hate it when you tidy up an cant find anything.

Alas, I don't have my own space so I can't spread my clutter about--but yeah, organized chaos is what I call where I do have my stuff, packed in drawers, etc.!

Honestly, having your own room or space for your stitching doesn't always mean it won't be cluttered, LOL! I have a huge studio, but still manage to make a royal mess of it when I am in the "fog of creativity" as my family calls it...they claim it refers to the dust I leave in my wake when I get on a roll, WHATEVER, LOL!

Can't wait to see your new cabinet!

Oh Gosh Yes! You can't go through Life, have Fun, and not create clutter! As long as the clutter doesn't start taking over your life, it's fine. It's Creative Clutter!

I have a cabinet, storage boxes and rolling cart storage in my computer/ craft room and still have clutter! Just too much stash!

I have the spare bedroom for my stitching things and boy is it a mess most of the time. :) I did try and straighten things for the new year, but all it takes is looking for one thing to throw it all back into chaos. Right now I'm actually finding comfort in my mess. :)

Counting. . .

And counting the days, or should I say the months since I have posted.  I think of it often and do so enjoy seeing your posts.  Where does the time go? Life is becoming a new normal here and all is well.  I am, however, surprised that I even remember how to start a post.   Finely Finished  is now a full time job--not my favorite word.  Finish work is a passion for me (not a job) and I'm fortunate to have clients' that allow me to spend time in the studio and "create" using their finely stitched pieces.  And how fun to have someone say "do your magic"!   Strawberries seem to be a favorite to stitch these days.  With so many lovely designs, I can see why.  Erica Michaels' Quaker Strawberry  has passed through the studio in many color ways. Bowled over...

With the thought anyone would stitch a design over and over...let alone seven times!  This is not my stitching and I normally don't share the stitching of others.  Although, I did finish the witch seven times.  No, I won't stitch a bowl of wee witches, but I would stitch more than one if I knew who the designer was. Do you stitch a design more than once?

Many...

Of you have been posting photos of your Christmas decorations, some even rethinking this year's decorating. Few changes take place here, which may seem boring, but I think of it as tradition.  Every year when I begin to decorate fond memories come to mind as I place each ornament, Santa and treasure in it's usual place. Yet simple as it may be, I did rearrange the deer tray and... The Santas came down from the mantle... Allowing one of my favorite samplers to shine without the clutter.
