The BCS Club is proud to present the inaugural BCS Hackathon! 

The theme for Spring 2015 is "hacks that make your everyday life easier" and the top three teams will win prizes sponsored by Axiom Zen.

Our event is open to BCS and second BSc students at the University of British Columbia.

Eligibility

Every member of your team must be 

  • currently enrolled in UBC's Bachelor of Computer Science or second degree Bachelor of Science program

Team size must not exceed 4 people.

Requirements

  • any software or hardware hack which fulfils the theme of "hacks that make your everyday life easier"
  • all submissions MUST include a link to a video demo of the hack

Judging Criteria

  • Technical Creativity
    Does the hack apply technical theory in a novel way to solve a problem?
  • Usability
    Does the hack work? Is the hack accessible to a wide number of people?
  • Design
    Is it clear to users how to use the hack? Is there thought into user experience?
