It didn't make sense even before. I'll just remove it.

Finished benchmarking commit (7b3f411): comparison URL. Overall result: ❌ regressions - no action neededBenchmarking this pull request means it may be perf-sensitive – we'll automatically label it not fit for rolling up. You can override this, but we strongly advise not to, due to possible changes in compiler perf. @bors rollup=never Instruction countOur most reliable metric. Used to determine the overall result above. However, even this metric can be noisy.
Max RSS (memory usage)Results (primary -0.5%)A less reliable metric. May be of interest, but not used to determine the overall result above.
CyclesResults (secondary 2.8%)A less reliable metric. May be of interest, but not used to determine the overall result above.
Binary sizeThis benchmark run did not return any relevant results for this metric. Bootstrap: 470.874s -> 471.366s (0.10%) |

huh, looks like the perf is all noise. I almost thought the increase in cache misses could be something real, as it would match my intuition for potential performance downsides of this change, but on further inspection, none of those are for the doc profile, so it seems like they're just random noise. still, i'd say it's an improvement to code quality |
