Infinity Codewave Hackathon – Official Rules

 
1. Event Overview

Infinity Codewave is a time-bound hackathon where eligible participants collaborate to design and build innovative technology solutions within the event period.

  • Hackathon Dates: April 24–25, 2026
  • Submission Deadline: April 25, 2026, 11:59 PM (local time as specified on Devpost)
  • Results Announcement: Date to be announced on the Devpost page
 
2. Eligibility
  • The hackathon is open to college students aged 18–25 years.
  • Participants must be currently enrolled in a recognized college or university at the time of the event.
  • Proof of age or enrollment may be requested by the organizers.
  • Participants may compete as individuals or in teams.
  • Employees, organizers, judges, and sponsors of Infinity Codewave are not eligible to participate.
 
3. Team Formation
  • Teams may consist of 1 to 4 members.
  • Each participant may be part of only one team.
  • Team members must be registered on Devpost and correctly listed on the final submission.
  • Changes to team composition after the submission deadline are not permitted.
 
4. Project Requirements
  • All projects must be created during the hackathon period.
  • Pre-existing code, designs, or assets are permitted only if they are openly licensed and clearly disclosed in the submission.
  • Projects must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Submissions must align with the hackathon’s stated theme(s), if any.
 
5. Submission Guidelines

Each submission must include:

  1. Project title and description
  2. Source code repository link (e.g., GitHub, GitLab)
  3. Demo video (maximum 3 minutes)
  4. Team member details
Additional requirements:
  • The demo video must clearly explain the problem, solution, and functionality.
  • Incomplete submissions or submissions received after the deadline will be disqualified.
  • Only submissions made through Devpost will be considered.
 
6. Judging Criteria

Projects will be evaluated by the judging panel using the following criteria:

  • Social Impact & Relevance – 30%
  • Innovation & Creativity – 25%
  • Technical Implementation – 25%
  • Presentation & Clarity – 20%

Judges’ decisions are final and binding.

 
7. Prizes
  • Prizes will be awarded as listed on the Devpost page.
  • Teams must meet all eligibility and submission requirements to qualify for prizes.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted, except at the organizers’ discretion or where required by law.
 
8. Code of Conduct
  • Participants must treat all individuals with respect and professionalism.
  • Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or misrepresentation will result in immediate disqualification.
 
9. Intellectual Property
  • Participants retain full ownership of their submissions.
  • By submitting, participants grant Infinity Codewave a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote the project for marketing and event-related purposes.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the rights to all materials used.
 
10. Disqualification

The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant or team for:

  • Violating these rules
  • Providing false information
  • Submitting plagiarized or unlawful content
  • Failing to meet eligibility or submission requirements
 
11. Rule Modifications
  • Organizers reserve the right to modify these rules if necessary.
  • Any changes will be communicated through official Devpost announcements.
  • Continued participation after a rule update constitutes acceptance of the revised rules.
 
12. Contact & Communication
  • All official communication will be conducted via Devpost and the channels listed on the hackathon page.
  • Participants are responsible for staying informed about announcements and updates.
