Collection Manager

Your collection manager lives at /collection. It is designed for fast browsing and bulk actions: image view, text view, filters, searching, exporting/importing, and moving cards into boxes.

Getting to your collection

  • Open the Collection page: go to /collection (requires login).
  • Left sidebar = boxes + tools + filters: choose a box (or Unassigned), then use tools/filters.

Adding cards to your collection

There are multiple ways to add cards:

  • From the Collection tools: click More under Tools, then choose Add Single Card.
  • Import an entire set: Tools → More → Import Card Set. Choose a set and an edition (Normal/Foil).
  • Upload a CSV: Tools → More → Upload CSV.
  • From a card page: visit a card page while logged in and click Add to Collection.

CSV formats

The upload supports two formats:

  • Simple: card_id,quantity,edition (edition is optional; default is Normal)
  • Export: the exact CSV you get from Tools → More → Download CSV

Boxes (organizing your collection)

  • Create a box: click Create Box in the Boxes list (box name is limited to 6 characters).
  • Switch boxes: click a box name (or Unassigned) to view that box.
  • Move cards into a box:
    1. Click Edit Mode (under Tools).
    2. Select cards (checkboxes appear on cards / table rows).
    3. Click More (Tools), then choose Move to Box or find the button on the main collection manager UI.

Note: if you're looking for "delete box / rename box", you may not see it in the current UI as I need to expand this feature set. If you need box management improvements, please report it (see Reporting Issues).

Editing quantities and bulk actions

  • Quick adjust: in Edit Mode, each card shows +/- controls (and the table view has row actions).
  • Bulk actions: in Edit Mode, you can Check All, then bulk +, bulk -, or bulk Delete.
  • Context menu: right-click a card in the grid/table to increment/decrement/delete or open the card page.

Search, filters, and views

  • Search bar: filters by card name or card ID (e.g. OP13-118).
  • Filters: Type, Subtype, Color, Rarity, Set, Artist, Edition, Cost, and Power range.
  • Consolidate Cards: merges duplicate prints by card_id + edition for a simpler view.
  • Image view vs Text view: toggle at the top of the main area.

Sharing a box / unassigned cards

  • Share button: click the link icon next to a box (or next to Unassigned) to generate a share URL.
  • Regenerate URL: from the share modal, you can regenerate the link if you want to invalidate the old one.

Shopping tools

  • TCGPlayer Cart: Tools → More → TCGPlayer Cart opens a mass-entry cart in a new tab.

Deck Building

The deck builder is at /deckbuilder. You can build decks even while logged out, but you must be logged in to save.

Core workflow (search → add cards → save)

  1. Search for cards using the search bar ("Search One Piece Card Database…").
  2. Use Filters to narrow results (set, type, subtype, color, artist, cost/power ranges).
  3. Add cards from the search results into your deck.
  4. Review deck stats (counts by card type, colors, total size, current format, etc.).
  5. Save Deck (logged-in users) once the deck size is valid for the current mode.

Deck builder actions (top-right action bar)

  • Share Deck: generates a shareable deck link.
  • Export Deck: export the current list.
  • Generate Deck Screenshot: downloads a PNG screenshot of the decklist.
  • Import Deck: import a decklist into the builder.
  • Test Opening Hand: draws 7 opening cards + 6 prize cards from a shuffled copy of your deck.
  • Purchase on TCGPlayer: opens a TCGPlayer mass-entry link.
  • Clear Deck: wipes the current deck.

Game modes

The deck builder supports One Piece TCG deckbuilding:

  • TCG: standard One Piece TCG deckbuilding rules (50 cards, 4 copies max per card, 1 Leader card).

Collection mode (filter results to what you own)

If you are logged in, you can toggle Collection to filter search results to only cards in your collection. This uses your collection as a filter; it doesn't modify your collection.

Deck template suggestions & packages

  • Deck Template Suggestions: choose a color and click Apply to add suggested cards.
  • Load Package: if you are subscribed to packages, you can load a package here to add its cards quickly.

Saving a deck (Submit Deck / Update Deck)

Click Save Deck to open the submission modal. You'll be asked for: Deck Name, optional Deck Description, required Cover Card, optional YouTube Link, and Visibility (Public / Unlisted / Private).

Important: saving is disabled until your deck is the required size for the current mode.

Cube Draft

Cubes let you draft from a curated card pool. The cube hub is under /cubes (public listing) and /cubes/mine (your cubes).

Create and edit a cube

  1. Go to /cubes/create to create a cube.
  2. In the editor (/cubes/{cube}/edit), add cards and quantities.

Cubes are validated for drafting based on the draft configuration. In general, you need at least: players × draft_size cards in your cube.

Start a draft (host)

  1. Go to /cubes/mine and click Draft on a cube.
  2. Choose Players, Pack Size, Draft Size, and optional Timer.
  3. (Optional) enable List publicly in Waiting Room so others can find your lobby.
  4. Click Start Draft to open the waiting room.

Waiting room (joining and sharing)

  • Share Link: the waiting room shows a share URL like /cubes/{cube}?join=.... Copy and send it to friends.
  • Join Draft: non-host players click Join Draft (requires login).
  • Start Draft: the host can start once at least 2 players have joined.

Drafting

  • Pick a card: click a card in the current pack. Each pick is server-authoritative and packs rotate automatically.
  • Chat: drafts include a cube chat panel.
  • Draft complete: you can:
    • Download CSV of the drafted cards
    • Buy on TCGPlayer (mass entry)
    • Add All Cards to Collection (logged in; bulk-adds drafted cards)

Card Database & Advanced Syntax

The card database is at /card-database. It supports filters and an "advanced syntax" parser for power users. There's also an in-page help button (?) inside the search input that opens "Search Syntax Help".

Quick filters

  • Filters: toggle the filter panel and narrow by card type, color, subtype, set, artist, rarity, and ranges (cost, power).
  • Collection (logged in): limits results to cards in your collection.
  • Grid/List view: switch between card image grid and list view.

Advanced syntax basics

Advanced syntax uses field:value tokens and supports boolean logic. Example:

type:Character color1:Red cost:>=3

Supported boolean operators

  • Implicit AND: spaces act like AND (e.g. name:Luffy cost:>=3).
  • Explicit: AND, OR, NOT
  • Grouping: parentheses groups like (name:Luffy OR name:Zoro)

Common fields

  • Name: name:Luffy
  • Card ID / number: cardnumber:OP13-118 (wildcards supported: cardnumber:OP13-*)
  • Card type: type:Leader, type:Character, type:Event, type:Stage
  • Color(s): color1:Red (One Piece colors: Red, Blue, Green, Black, Purple, Yellow)
  • Subtype: subtype1:Straw Hat Crew (One Piece uses subtype1, subtype2, subtype3 fields)
  • Set: set:OP13 or set:Romance Dawn (matches set code and set name)
  • Artist: artist:Komiya
  • Rarity: rarity:Rare
  • Color: color:Red, color:Blue, color:Green, color:Black, color:Purple, color:Yellow
  • Text search: text:discard (searches card text, abilities, and attack text)
  • Keyword: keyword:Ability (searches text/ability/attack fields)

Ranges

  • Cost: cost:>=3 or cost:1-5
  • Power: power:>=5000 or power:3000-6000

Comments & @ Mentions

Comments and forum posts support @ mentions. Mentions render as profile links and are styled consistently in light/dark mode.

How to mention a user

  1. Type @ followed by at least 2 characters of a username.
  2. Select the user from the autocomplete dropdown.
  3. The mention inserts as @username and becomes a clickable link after posting.

Tips

  • Be specific: mentions notify/attract attention so please do not abuse them.

Deck View & Playtest

Published decks have a deck page at /deck/{identifier}. Our decks also have an interactive solo playtest at /deck/{identifier}/playtest.

On the deck page

  • Read the list: cards are grouped and counted.
  • Share: public/unlisted decks can be shared by URL.
  • Playtest: use the Playtest link/button (if available) to open the simulator.

Note: Private decks are only viewable by the owner. Unlisted decks are accessible via direct link but not publicly listed on the site.

Playtest basics

  • How to Play: the playtest UI includes a built-in "How to Play" modal.
  • Tooltips: you can toggle card tooltips on/off in the playtest header.
  • Deck Actions: the simulator includes "Reveal top cards", "Discard from deck", "View entire deck", and "Shuffle deck".

Deck Packages

Packages are reusable "bundles of cards" you can subscribe to and load into the deck builder. The packages directory is /packages.

Create a package

  1. Open the deck builder (/deckbuilder).
  2. Add the cards you want in the package.
  3. Click Save as Package.
  4. Choose a name, description, and privacy (Public / Unlisted / Private).

Subscribe & use a package

  1. Browse packages at /packages and open one.
  2. Click Subscribe to add it to your subscribed list.
  3. In the deck builder, use Deck Template Suggestions → Load Package to add the package cards quickly.

Privacy settings

  • Public: discoverable and subscribable by anyone.
  • Unlisted: accessible via direct link, not listed publicly.
  • Private: only you can access it.

Deck Folders

Folders let you organize decks (your own, and in some cases public decks) into named collections. Your folder manager is linked from My Decks (/decks/mine) via the Folders button.

Create and manage folders

  1. Go to /decks/mine and click Folders.
  2. Click Create Folder and set name/description/privacy.
  3. Open a folder to see its contents; if you're the owner, you can remove decks from the folder.

Folder privacy

  • Public: visible in folder browsing/search.
  • Unlisted: only accessible with the share link (owners can copy it from the folder page).
  • Private: only you can view it.

Reporting Issues (Bug report on forum)

The best way to report bugs or request features is via the forum. This keeps reports searchable and lets others add reproduction details.

Report a specific forum post

  • Use "Report Post": forum topics include a "Report Post" modal that submits to /forums/report.
  • Include details: what you expected, what happened, and steps to reproduce.

Report a site bug / request a feature

  1. Go to /forums/bug-report.
  2. Create a new topic in the appropriate category.
  3. Include:
    • Steps to reproduce
    • What you expected vs what happened
    • Your browser/device info
    • Screenshots (if applicable)

Tip: if something "doesn't let you" do an action (e.g. deleting a box), mention the exact page and button you clicked so we can match your experience to the UI.

Using the Editor (TinyMCE)

OnePieceDB uses the TinyMCE rich text editor for things like deck descriptions and forum posts. It supports formatting, links, tables, images, and also provides card-specific tools.

Card tools inside the editor

  • One Piece Card button: inserts a card tooltip reference into your text.
    • If you highlight a card name first, it tries to auto-find that card and wraps it as a tooltip.
    • If nothing is selected, it opens a search modal.
  • One Piece Image button: inserts an image embed for a selected card.

Keyboard-like shortcuts (autocompleters)

  • Tooltip insert: type - then start typing a card name to insert a tooltip span.
  • Image embed: type + then start typing a card name to insert an image embed.

Best practices

  • Prefer card tooltips for readability: it keeps posts compact while still showing card details on hover.
  • Use images sparingly in long posts: large image blocks can make threads hard to scroll on mobile.
