What is The Mustard Seed?
The Mustard Seed is a Christian charitable organization that builds community, grows hope and supports change for people who are experiencing poverty and homelessness. It provides basic services – including meals, clothing and shelter – as well as long-term solutions and support services such as housing, employment, health & wellness, and spiritual guidance. The Mustard Seed has locations in seven cities across Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.

Since The Mustard Seed is a Christian organization – do the clients / guests have to be of the Christian faith too?
Our services are open to everyone. We follow the BC Human Rights Act – under the act people are protected from discrimination on the basis of race, religious beliefs, colour, gender, physical disability, mental disability, ancestry, age, place of origin, marital status, source of income, family status and sexual orientation.

Who runs The Mustard Seed?
The Mustard Seed is a charitable organization.
The Mustard Seed Society and The Mustard Seed Foundation are incorporated under the provisions of the Societies’ Act of the Province of Alberta. The Mustard Seed Society and The Mustard Seed Foundation are also registered as charitable organizations authorized to issue donation receipts for income tax purposes.
