About Us
We are dedicated to serving victims of all crime types
The National Center for Victims of Crime is dedicated to serving individuals, families, and communities harmed by crime.
We believe that a society that prioritizes the safety and healing of communities, responds to the needs of all individuals harmed by crime, promotes victims’ rights, and engages in advocacy for systems change is able to reduce the crime and its impact on victims and their families.

Some stories don’t end when the headlines fade. They are just beginning.
On May 29, I Want You To Know launches.
This is a different kind of true crime podcast. One that centers the voices too often left out of the conversation, victims and the people who love them.
Hosted by Kristen Feden and Renee Williams, each episode goes deeper into the reality of what happens after the crime, after the trial, after the world moves on.
And every episode ends with something rarely heard.
A victim impact statement, shared directly and without interruption.
Follow now so you are ready when we launch on May 29.
These stories matter. And they deserve to be heard.

Victims of financial crimes face lasting consequences yet there’s a stigma against coming forward.
We stand with *all* victims, including those who become victims of scams. These personal and invasive crimes are becoming more common, and survivors should be treated with dignity.
Help is available. Our VictimConnect Resource Center is open 24/7 for victims of all types of crime — visit victimconnect.org or call 855-4VICTIM for free and confidential support.
We’d also like to highlight the resources available from our partners, including the Taking Action advocate guide from @finraofficial, the Scam Survival Kit from @betterbusinessbureau_, and the Scam Justice Legal Clinic from @amazon.

Midwest advocates — this one’s for you. 📍
Applications are open for NCVC’s Sunny von Bülow Advocate Academy, a free daylong training in Chicago on Sept. 8. About 20 spots remain. Applications close July 1 or when 80 are submitted. Open to survivors who want to become advocates in the Midwest, with preference given to those in Illinois.
Accepted applicants also receive a $150 discount to our National Training Institute, a three-day conference for advocates, victim service professionals, law enforcement and anyone who supports crime survivors — happening in Chicago right after.
