PHP date_sunset() Function

This date_sunset() function is used to get the timing of sunset of a particular day and location. This function returns the sunset time of different locations.

Syntax

mixed date_sunset ( int $timestamp [, int $format = SUNFUNCS_RET_STRING [, float $latitude = ini_get("date.default_latitude") [, float $longitude = ini_get("date.default_longitude") [, float $zenith = ini_get("date.sunset_zenith") [, float $gmt_offset = 0 ]]]]] )

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Required/Optional
timestamp	Specifies the timestamp of the day	Required
format	Specifies date format	Optional
latitude	Specifies the latitude of the location.	Optional
longitude	Specifies the longitude of the location.	Optional
zenith	Defaults to date.sunrise_zenith	Optional
gmtoffset	Specific difference in GMT and local time	optional
