CCT Anything But A Card

The challenge at CCT this week is Anything but a Card. I have decorated a gift box which I got from Stampin Up with an old Magnolia Santa stamp. I think this is my favourite Christmas stamp and I use it every year. The DP is retired Stampin Up and I have distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.I coloured the image with Distress Inks and also edged the die cut circle with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I have also added some Fran-tage to the image.
I have decorated the sides of the box with some hessian and lace and added a small tag which I cut with a Tim Holtz sizzix die. The message on the tag was stamped with a set of alphabet stamps which I got from the NEC about 5 years ago, they were a bargain at £1 for the set. This is the first time I've used them but I'm sure they will get lots more use now. The little jingle bells are from Ebay.

I really enjoyed decorating the box and am hoping to do a few more for Christmas pressies.

I am also entering this into this weeks Magnolia Down Under Challenge which is Jingles Bells and the Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia Challenge which is Vintage or Shabby Chic.

I am entering this card into this week's Lily of The Valley challenge which is to make a card for someone special.

Quick + Easy Penny Black Card
At last another card. I haven't been making any cards at all but my daughter asked me to make her one for her friend's birthday so I thought it was about time I made the effort again.
I have used one of my favourite Penny Black images, coloured with Copics, Nesties and some scrummy gingham ribbon (which is straight IRL).
Can you believe it but I haven't bought any crafting goodies since the summer and didn't want any for Xmas either, hubby is in shock!!
