As we once again approach the Hallowtide season, let us be reminded again of what the true essence of the season is really all about which is celebrating the Feast of All Saints (Church Triumphant) and commemorating the faithful departed or the Feast of All Souls (Church Suffering). Let us beware of participating in pagan practices and superstitious beliefs that surround this occasion as spiritually mature Christians.

As Ireland finally embraced the legalization of same sex 'marriage', we are again reminded of the very pitiful state of affairs that we find ourselves in in this increasingly secularist and modernist society of ours. The short video above should help enlighten us on why moral issues like same sex 'marriage', divorce, euthanasia, etc., are not a matter of and subject to popular opinion polls and referendums, but are solidly based upon the natural law and God's moral order. As we are also celebrating today the Feast of the Pentecost, let us implore the Holy Spirit to grant us His seven gifts particularly the gifts of wisdom and fear of the Lord to help us do the right thing.

The topic of homosexuality and the issues around same sex marriage are very charged in our culture right now. The goal of this video is to communicate what the Church teaches about this topic. However, as the title would suggest, the underlying sentiment throughout the whole presentation is that the Church is a refuge of love for all of humanity. Those that would say that the Church is "anti-gay" are either misinformed or deliberately distorting the truth to push their own agenda. 

For all those who watch this video please understand that the lasting message of "Yes To You" is to let you know that right where you are, with all of your questions, challenges and struggles that the Church indeed says yes to you. You are welcomed and you are loved. We are all in this together.
