CARNAGE - DUALITY [EP]

After the excellent demo 34°23"41'N 132°27"17'E, released in 2017, Carnage is back with Duality, its 2019 EP. Consisting of only two tracks, Duality was released by Profane Existence in vinyl and follows the same precepts as the first demo and that's great! Undoubtedly, Carnage is one of the best Portuguese bands of our time and this EP despite its short duration is proof of that. Depois da excelente demo 34°23"41'N 132°27"17'E, lançada em 2017, a Carnage está de volta com Duality, o seu EP de 2019. Composto por apenas duas faixas, Duality foi lançado pela Profane Existence em formato vinil e segue com o mesmo preceito da primeira demo e isso é ótimo! Sem dúvidas, a Carnage é uma das bandas portuguesas mais fodas da atualidade e esse EP, apesar de ser curto, é uma prova disso. Capa por Stiv. Muito bom!

CARNAGE - 34°23''41'N 132°27"17'E [DEMO]

Portugal tem revelado grandes bandas nesses últimos anos e isso é muito bom. Hoje a bola da vez é a Carnage, grande revelação do ano de 2017. Essa demo chamada "34°23"41'N 132°27"17'E" (essa coordenada indica a cidade de Hiroshima e própria capa mostra o Memorial da Paz situado na mesma cidade japonesa) contém quatro faixas totalmente influenciadas pelo crust inglês e japonês. Posso dizer que o som feito pela Carnage é um mistura crua e pesada de bandas como, Amebix, Antisect, S.D.S. e Hellshock (banda americana), resgatando assim a velha essência desse tipo música e a manifestação contra cultural. As minhas faixas favoritas são "10 000 Suns" (bem influenciada por Hellshock) e "Final Debt" (total Amebix). Muito foda! 

Portugal has revealed great bands in recent years and that is very good. Today is the time of Carnage, great revelation of the year 2017. This demo called "34°23"41'N 132°27"17'E" (this coordinate indicates the city of Hiroshima and the cover art itself shows the Peace Memorial located in the same Japanese city) contains four tracks totally influenced by English and Japanese crust scenes. I can say that the sound made by Carnage is a crude and heavy mix of bands like Amebix, Antisect, S.D.S. and Hellshock (American band), thus rescuing the old essence of this type of music and bringing back the resistance to mainstream culture. My favorite tracks are "10 000 Suns" (well influenced by Hellshock) and "Final Debt" (total Amebix). Badass!
