本名Jack Revill的Jackmaster（Numbers）與Oneman（502）和Ben UFO（Hessle Audio）都同在Rinse FM主持也都各自經營著自己的廠牌但他們都不是Producer，回顧2011他們三人的確是主導著整個英國跳舞音樂圈將Dubstep轉變成Bass Music的重要推手之一，其中的Jackmaster在今年五月份交由Fabric發行的Fabriclive系列更是獲得了Bleep.com 2011年最佳合輯第一的殊榮，在這個重要時刻Resident Advisor也趁勝追擊邀請到Jackmaster為RA Podcast系列錄製了一段1小時40分的精彩Mix，透過Jackmaster的這段RA mix除了是可回顧他這一年外更是預先告知2012年英國跳舞音樂圈的走向。

In each of the 30 capsules, crucially influential producers, DJs and bands presented the latest in upfront London sounds making waves around the globe. 上星期五Numbers廠牌發表今天將重新發行了Acid House先鋒DJ Pierre在1987年發行的單曲Mystery Girl (Set Me Free)（新版本內收錄有Seiji的Bassrub版本），哪有這麼剛好FACT就在今天也推出由DJ Pierre的FACT Mix 272，這應該不是巧合。

以2009年的一首單曲If U Want Me（正式發行於2010年Numbers廠牌）獲得UK音樂雜誌DJmag Best of British 2010提名於BEST DANCE SINGLE獎項的Future-Garage/2-Step/Post-Dubstep Producer Deadboy，他個人的最新混音單曲作品取自於Scuba（Hotflush Recordings）發行於今年3月份的首張專輯Triangulation內的ㄧ曲Before，此首混音單曲也已連同FaltyDL、Joe、Deadbeat等其他混音曲收錄於Scuba剛再度發行的Triangulation精裝版本內，這個時候才買真的比較聰明。

Jackmaster（Numbers.）為了本週五在波蘭當地服飾品牌Fake與潮流網站Tenisufki所主辦的活動而錄製的近30分鐘Minimix，音樂雖短但曲目卻是相當豪華，當中可以聽到Jackmaster帶來了Ramadanman所化身的另一單位Pearson Sound的新單曲Blanked（即將發行於Hessle Audio廠牌）、最近才發行新單曲Heartbaet的T. Williams與Breach合作還為發行的曲目The Bees、Untold本週發行於比利時Techno/Bass廠牌R&S的新單曲Stereo Freeze、Horsepower Productions即將在本月底發行於Dusbtep廠牌Tempa的回歸專輯Quest For The Sonic Bounty內的Mexican Slayride（絕對的Album Of the 2010）、以及Hudson mohawke還未發行新曲Thunder Bay..等，So BIG。

如果現在問我最愛的廠牌為何？那非格拉斯哥廠牌Numbers莫屬。
昨晚的Big Issue來自The xx裡的Beat Maker Jamie xx（Jmaie Smith）將要發行他的個人單曲“Far Nearer”這消息，而替其做發行的廠牌就來自於Numbers，到底每次The xx表演時站在後面玩弄Drum Machine的Jamie Smith有何其重要性，如果各位有注意到某某某的The xx Remix或是The xx的Mixtape、Podcast、DJ Set、Mini Mix....等等等，這全都出自Jamie Smith之手，雖還未真正聽過其單曲，但也不難想像Jamie個人單曲的音樂走向會是以2-Step/Dubstep/UK Garage等的一種當下最Hit的樂風呈現。
Numbers除了Jamie xx的發行外，總是帶著一個類似非洲土著的面具現身的Producer/DJ Sbtrkt也將在其廠牌發行他的新單曲Nervous，這次Sbtrkt捨棄了好搭檔Sampha則邀來近期常與London Brit-Pop/Grime tiro Man Like Me一同出沒的女Vocalist Jessie Ware來合作，這模式看來是被近期眾多Producer找來Katy B或Ms Dynamite擔任主唱這件事所影響，到底Jessie Ware會不會隨著Sbtrkt的這新單曲便一炮而紅這還有待觀察。（但據自己觀察Jessie Ware的型跟Katy B卻還幾分神似的）
想聽Jamie的歌，我也還沒有，有興趣請自行上Xfm昨天（9/28）晚上10點（UK Time）的John Kennedy節目去聽，他有首播，下面有的Stream是來自Sbtrkt & Jessie Ware的新單曲Nervous試聽。

Young UK DJ/producer and Numbers label co-conspirator Jack "Jackmaster" Revill graced last week's Sónar festival in Barcelona with a stellar mix of the many kinds of bass music and future-house tunes propagated by his insanely talented cohorts. As with the DJ set Braiden dropped at the electronic music festival, Red Bull Music Academy was on the scene and recording Jackmaster's deck magic for the event—catching every brilliant tune and slick mix the DJ pushed out of the soundsystem. FACT mix 143: Spencer (Numbers)

ACT first heard Spencer DJing in support of Flying Lotus, two or three years ago at London’s Plastic People.
His selection of crunching, techno-infused hip-hop and dubstep-not-dubstep was a revelation, presaging the sound of Rustie, Hud Mo et al that we now all take for granted. Later, when we told him how much we enjoyed the set, he said, “Yeah, I was DJing with one deck because I lost one of my Serato records in my house the weekend before and I forgot - it was a fucking nightmare. Glad you enjoyed it though.”
That kind of sums up why we like the guy, and why we asked to him record a FACT mix for us. Fast-forward to 2010 and Numbers – the Glasgow-based label and party collective co-founded by Spencer – has become something of a phenomenon, the toast of everyone from The Guardian to (probably) Oprah. Combining the forces of Wireblock, Stuff and Dress 2 Sweat, what makes Numbers and its personnel special is the breadth and depth of their tastes. Though always on the look-out for the new thing, their sensibility is anchored in ageless techno, electro and hip-hop; the championing of upfront b-more, grime, dubstep, juke and funky doesn’t come at the cost of repping heroes like Juan Atkins, Kraftwerk and Drexciya. Numbers, and particularly Spencer, know where they’re coming from.
Spencer’s FACT mix is therefore a kaleidoscopic and history-hopping affair, packing thirty deadly tracks into a taut hour-long duration. Midwest sci-fi classics like Cybotron’s ‘Cosmic Cars’ and Mr Fingers’ ‘Distant Planet’ can be found alongside fresh dubstep and UK house from Sully, Altered Natives, Addison Groove and Mosca, and a glut of new and forthcoming Numbers cuts from Deadboy, Kavsrave, SRC and Taz Buckfaster.
