Star Wars in Concert

Amy and I got to attend Star Wars in Concert at the Qwest Center last night and it was AMAZING! It was even better than we expected and such a fun date. Here are a few pictures from the performance:

The entire show was narrated by Anthony Daniels, who played C3PO in all six movies. He was so entertaining and very funny. It was really cool to see him in person. Amy and I thought about rushing backstage to get an autograph, but decided it probably wasn't a good idea.

Here you can see the full symphony orchestra below one of the huge screens where they showed clips from the movie.

Throughout the show they had other cool effects like these lasers.

It was such a great show and we really enjoyed it. We are extremely grateful to Paul and Kim Morrison who watched our kids, dug us out of the snowbank we got stuck in trying to get back in the driveway, and made it possible for us to go on our first date in probably a year.

Star Wars in Concert Exhibit

Before the performance, they had a lot of cool exhibits set up that you could look at and characters to take pictures with. These were some of our favorites.

Daddy's Little Helper

After Ryan woke up from his nap, he and I went out to shovel the driveway (for the second time in four hours). Ryan was really hesitant to put on his snow clothes, especially the snow pants and boots, but once he got out in the snow, he was in love.

Took us 15 minutes to get all these clothes on.

Ryan thought it was so fun to catch the snowflakes.

This is a fake smile. Keep in mind that by this point, I was starting on shoveling session #3.

It was so fun to work outside while Ryan ran around yelling "SNOW! SNOW! SNOW!" I had to bribe him with chocolate to get him to come back inside. What a kid.
