Image
Image

Hello sweet followers. I want to show you this card I made for 7 Dots Studio using their gorgeous Cotton Candy Dreams Collection

I used the "Mint Julep" paper together with the tags, stickers, and die cut elements from the same collection. The coordinating flair from UmWow Studio is just perfect for this project. Splatters with Tattered Angels Mist add extra interest. Want to know how the card was made - scroll down for process video.

Easy Wedding Thank You Cards - Canvas Corp Brands

Image

It doesn´t need to be difficult and time consuming to make your own thank you cards. Just with a few supplies and a bit of fantasy you can make an item that looks more personal and a ready printed card.

I made an easy step-by-step on how I created my "Thank You" tags.

Image

1. Use a ready made tag as your guide when you draw as many "new" tags as you need on the back of your chosen paper. I used this lovely White & Kraft Lace Paper. Cut out the printed tags.

Image

2. Distress the edges on your patterned paper with a edge scraper before you glue them on the ready made tags. Now it´s time to be really creative! Find a shape that you like - I chose a heart! Take a sturdy paper that takes water good and draw several shapes using your chosen one as the template. Then apply ink with a brush. I used Glimmer Mist in the color Red Chillies that I deluted with a bit of water.

Image

3. Take a couple of paper scraps and stamp a sentiment (on the back if you like me used the same patterned paper for everything). Cut out your painted shapes.

Image

4. Highlight your stamped cards with a white pencil if needed. I like the effect on my cards. Glue on your painted shapes on the tags. Add dimensional squares on the back of your stamped cards and then add them on top of your shapes.

Image

5. Finish off your project by adding some sort of ribbon or string.

Material from Canvas Home Basics & Tattered Angels.

Sweet Friend & Scream out Loud - the Nifty Pixel

Today I´m showing you two hybrid layouts I made using the latest kit from the Nifty Pixel. I descided to print the painted papers from the Pick your Destiny kit and love how they turned out!

Image

For this first page I used the Pretty as a Picture vol 1 templates from Scrap Stacks. Pretty as a Picture Vol.1 is a lovely mix of designs. Some quite symmetrical like a beautifully arranged bouquet should be and others are very free form reminiscent of a just picked posy of wild flowers. This mixed pack makes them a very versatile little collection to appeal to all your design styles.

Image

For this page I used a printed paper and printed elements from Pick Your Destiny Digital Kit, Pick Your Destiny Painted Papers & Alpha Pack

Father´s Day Cards - Paper Wings Productions

Image

Image
First of all I prepped my card bases with white gesso.

Image
I used different crayons for each card. Drawing a random pattern over the dried gesso.

Image
Looks like something my kid would have drawn.....

Image
To blend the creyons together i sprayed on water.

Image
After drying I couldn´t resist a bit of ink splattering....

Image
After some more drying time I started to stamp with my Paper Wings Background stamps.
First I placed my cards side by side. Then I staped on two cards at the same time. The finishing toush was to stamp on the coffe ring and the grid pattern.

And this is what the cards look like after a bit of decorating.

Mixed Media Canvas

In my part of the world fall is almost here. The dark evenings are perfect for a cup of tea and a book - or for some creative time! I made this canvas yesterday. I seldom have plans for my project, but this has been in my mind for a couple of night when I have been sleepless (full moon...). To make it more fun it comes with a video tutorial - my first ever so have that in mind when you watch.

Image

The canvas base is a piece of heavy cardstock that comes in a various of colors. I think I have had it for almost ten years without knowing what to do with it...

Hope you enjoyed my little video. Have a nice Friday!

Simple Arty Tags

It is easy peasy to make a couple of cool tags just using a few simple products and stuff from your stash.
This is what you need:

Mist or spray paint of some sort, simple tags, stamps, stamp pad, (embossing powder).

Image

Image

1-4. Spray over the tags with the lightest color first. I usually place the tags beside each other. I finish up the misting with the darkest color that I platter randomly over the tags.

Image

5-7. When the mist is dry (you can help the process with a heating tool) I use my stamps. A tip is to use a permanent ink if you have shimmering mists on the tags. Otherwise it won´t stick. These tags are small, and the border stamp are much longer than one single tag, therefor I have placed the tags side by side to use the whole image. If you want to use embossing powder, you just do as you normally do when applying it.

After drying a while the tags are ready to be used on your project. I´ve used them on these match boxes.
