Reflecting on How Time Flies: A Journey Through the Last 2 Years

Tuesday, June 25, 2024

Have you ever paused to realize how swiftly time can slip through our fingers? It feels like just yesterday when we were stepping into the unknowns of 2022, yet here we are, already midway through 2024. The passage of time has a peculiar way of both astounding and sneaking up on us, leaving us to marvel at how much can change in just a blink.

### Time's Fleeting Nature

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to lose track of time. The routines we follow, the goals we chase, and the challenges we face all contribute to this sense of time slipping away. Two years ago, the world seemed a different place—perhaps less uncertain, more familiar. But with each passing day, as events unfolded, time propelled us forward, often faster than we anticipated.

### Personal Growth and Reflection

Reflecting on the last two years, one cannot ignore the personal growth that accompanies the passage of time. Each day brings new experiences, lessons learned, and opportunities for self-improvement. Whether it's advancing in our careers, deepening relationships, or overcoming personal obstacles, these moments shape us into who we are today.

### Global Changes and Collective Resilience

On a global scale, the last two years have been a testament to humanity's resilience in the face of adversity. From navigating a global pandemic to addressing environmental challenges and societal shifts, our world has undergone profound transformations. These events have not only shaped our present circumstances but have also set the stage for what lies ahead.

### Lessons Learned and Looking Forward

As we reflect on how quickly time has flown, it's essential to glean wisdom from our experiences. The lessons learned—about adaptability, compassion, and the importance of community—serve as guideposts for the future. They remind us to cherish every moment, embrace change, and continue striving towards our aspirations.

### Finding Meaning in the Journey

Ultimately, the fleeting nature of time encourages us to find meaning in the journey itself. It's about appreciating the small victories, learning from setbacks, and savoring the moments of joy and connection. Time may move swiftly, but it is in our power to make each moment count.

### Conclusion: Embracing the Future

As we stand at this juncture, contemplating how swiftly time has passed, let's carry forward the lessons and memories that have shaped us. Let's embrace the future with optimism, knowing that each day presents new opportunities for growth and discovery. Time flies, but it is within our grasp to make the most of every fleeting moment.

In conclusion, as we navigate the ever-changing landscape of life, let's remember to pause, reflect, and appreciate the journey thus far. Time flies, but the impact we leave on our world and those around us endures.

2015... Hey!

Wednesday, January 21, 2015

Last week I read an article by Mark Manson – The subtle art of not giving a fuck. Damn hilarious. I was reading it when I was in the middle of waiting for my tasks to complete. I was smiling like crazily in front of my screen hoping that my supervisor who is sitting next to me didn’t notice my look. I laughed. Then I forwarded to my awesome friends who I know will read and laugh at it. Two thumbs up!

Then, I look at my surrounding. I should know by now there are many unimportant things that I should not give a fuck. The endless drama. My neighbours’ cats.

Oh wait. I haven’t say happy new year!. HELLO 2015! :)

Damn. Why does it feel so far away from year 2000? That was a freaking 15 years ago. How life has changed so much in 15 years. Life even can change so much in a day. Trust me.

What’s in for 2015? I’m hoping I can TRAVEL a lot. I like to travel. There is no stopping me despite there were many major incidents regarding airlines especially Malaysia airlines and Air Asia. I love Air Asia and I will fly with Air Asia J I know some of my friends who are still freak out and don’t want to travel with Air Asia. Oh well! Statistically, your changes to get killed in a car accident are higher than plane crash. Burritos! (Where can I get burritos here?)

Let’s hope 2015 will be a better year for us! Remember… Life is full of surprises! Keep calm and smile :)

The journey so far...

Tuesday, December 03, 2013

It has been an awesome journey so far for me all these years. I’m grateful and blessed. I saw a video on YouTube the other day which made me realized that it is gratefulness that makes someone to be happy, not the other way round. You’re happy coz you’re grateful for something happened as expected or unexpected.

For this year alone, I have made some major history for myself…
-       * Completed my first 21km in 2hours 25mins (SCB half Marathon)
-       * Completed my 2 years degree in IT
-       * Got promoted at my work
-       *Went to many islands (bali, phi phi, maya bay and etc). I’m an island lover.
-     *Help my parent to renovate the house. It has always been their dream to extend the house since I started working.
-     *Completed my 10km run at 174th out of 550 participants (last year was at 190th).

I know I may have miss some but I’m grateful to God and I put my faith to Him, as He knows what’s for me.

If I’m sad or negativity starts to get into me, I count my blessings to remind me that my life is not so bad compare to others.

Sometimes the best advices that you give to others are the one that you should listen and do it.

What's on my mind?

Thursday, January 24, 2013

There are so many things in my mind right now. If there’s anyone who is going to write biography about me, it will be in 3 books compare to others. LOL.

We’re now in the 4th week of January and I am always busy every day. Be it at work, uni or at home. Time is running fast for me. Sometimes I lost count of what day it is today or the date. I don’t really have ‘me’ time. Pff! I can’t wait for this ‘busy’ life of me to end especially for my study which will ends in August/September.

I’m listening to Coldplay at the moment. I usually listen to house/R&B/pop but I don’t have specific preferences. Thus, I can listen to whatever music that’s smooth to hear and can ease my mind.

For now, life has been good. Thank you, God. I’m VERY grateful. I’m grateful and appreciate for all the things I have right now, be it in good or bad time. Though…. Some of us take it for…. granted.

I try to limit myself from spending too much time on social networks. I know I keep telling myself over the years, yet nothing improve. Oh well~ We like to plan everything in our life but don’t plan too serious or it will hit you in the face (expectations kill!).

I need to be ready with my 21km training. It will be my first attempt for this year. Good luck to me!
