The Box Box Hackathon will take place online from May 2 to May 3, 2026.
The event will begin with an opening session where the official challenge problem statement will be revealed. Participants will then have the duration of the hackathon to design, build, and submit their projects before the final submission deadline.
All submissions must be completed on Devpost before the official deadline to be eligible for judging.
EligibilityThe hackathon is open to students, developers, designers, and technology enthusiasts from around the world.
Participants will compete in teams. Teams should collaborate fairly and ensure that all work submitted is created during the hackathon period.
All participants must follow the event guidelines and maintain respectful and professional conduct throughout the event.
Project and Submission RequirementsAll projects submitted must:

Be created during the hackathon period.

Be related to the challenge announced at the start of the event.

Include a working prototype, proof of concept, or functional demonstration.

Be submitted on Devpost with the required information, including project description, demo video, and repository link.
Projects that were developed before the hackathon or do not follow the challenge guidelines may be disqualified.
PrizesWinning teams will be selected based on their creativity, technical implementation, and overall impact of their solution.
Details regarding prizes and rewards will be announced closer to the event and will be shared with all registered participants.
Judging Criteria and Winner SelectionProjects will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:

Innovation and Creativity - How unique and original the idea is.

Relevance to the Challenge - How effectively the project addresses the challenge revealed at the event.

After reviewing all eligible submissions, the judges will select the top projects, and winners will be announced following the evaluation process.
