Communications Unit
The Communications Unit is responsible for communication on matters within the remit of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The Communications Unit is responsible for the planning of strategic communications in cooperation with the departments and for the development of strategic communications tools.
The Communications Unit comprises the following teams:
- Foreign and Security Policy Communications
- UN and Development Policy Communications
- International Trade Communications.
The main duties of the Communications Unit are:
- communications of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, including the Ministry’s social media channels, media events and the coordination of crisis communications
- communications on foreign and security policy, international trade and development policy
- communications relating to consular services and travel safety
- planning and implementation of and tools development for strategic communications.
