After switching computer and moving from my old laptop (which ran Windows at first, and later Linux) to a MacOS computer, my old mouse became incompatible. It worked very poorly. I didn’t know how to fix it.
I read online that my mouse was incompatible with the operating system and that this happens. Indeed. I found many mouse comparisons and descriptions of which mouse are compatible with which operating systems. I figured I’d have to buy a new mouse, even though my current one is perfectly fine.
It was hard for me to accept this, because I’m the type of person who only replaces devices (computers, phones, and everything else) when they break or when they really can’t cut it anymore for some valid, technical reason. And my mouse was working fine. It just seemed to be incompatible.
Then someone recommended me a small app called LinearMouse. It was amazing! It fixed my mouse right after I installed it. It has tons of configuration options: scrolling speed and mode, sensitivity, and so on. It has everything you could want from an app like this and much more. I can even configure the mouse’s behavior separately for each program I use. I was thrilled.
