God, I hate e-mail. Maybe even more than voicemail, but voicemail I can switch off.

I’ve always had an interest in photography, but lately I find most of my photos are in the ‘meh’-category. So I’ve decided to join my local photo club to see if I can up my game! Really looking forward to that.

Many a Saturday I was coaching the soccer team of my oldest son, and many a Sunday I was supporting my youngest son’s tennis matches. Both have now played their final matches and will continue in other sports where my involvement can be a lot less, so I look forward to having more time to myself in the weekends. 😊

Back to the uke! Thought it would be nice to learn to play 'The Girl from Ipanema' on ukulele and found this brilliant tutorial by Klaus Schindler on YouTube. Really pretty and not too hard.

Good news today! The selling of the Dutch company Solvinity, the company that runs DigiD, which is used to access websites of the Dutch government, to American company Kyndryl, has been blocked by the Dutch government. After a lot of protests from civilians and lawsuits by non profits, but still. This is a clear signal by the Dutch government that America is no longer seen as a friend, but as a risk.

In these times, where thousands of new AI-generated books flood the market, I am glad that billions and billions of hand-written books, that took their writers blood, sweat, tears and a lot of time to conceive, still exist. I will never be out of real stories to read.

It’s mosquito season again, so today I hung up mosquito nets over all the beds in the family home. Now it’s beer-o-clock.

Upgraded #Vivaldi to version 8 and I really like the way they updated the look and feel. It’s gotten from this nerdy browser to something that’s actually good to look at. I like it.

It’s such nice weather, I hadn’t planned on running today but I just couldn’t let the opportunity go by.
