    Beautiful, democratically-controlled, permanently affordable housing for all isn’t a pipe dream: it’s social housing, and I’m fighting to bring it NY. We can have housing that allows people to live with dignity and supports our climate goals. But we have to organize for it.

    NY has a solid waste management problem, and our bottle redemption policy hasn't been updated in decades. This isn't just an environmental issue. It is an operational and fiscal one. We must pass the Bigger, Better Bottle Bill this coming session.

    No one should be arrested—much less jailed—for stealing a tube of toothpaste. Incarceration separates people from their jobs, support services, & loved ones. It perpetuates cycles of poverty & crime. That’s a fact, no matter how much fear mongering the right wing media does.

    A single-payer healthcare model makes sense economically and morally. We don't have it because a handful of insurance, healthcare, and pharma oligarchs get obscenely rich off the current system. We need Medicare For All and the New York Health Act while we wait.
