Saugus has rehired Jeff Natalucci as its boys hockey coach, hosting a new co-op
I'm told Peabody's co-op with Swampscott will continue and should have sustainable numbers even without the Sachem contingent
In 2012, every Massachusetts school voted on creating an expanded football playoff because not enough teams were qualifying statewide.
In 2012, 74 teams statewide made it. In 2027, it goes to 72.
FEWER playoff teams than we voted out 15 years ago
So under this new 2027 football playoff
If you’re No 10 in Division 1 (and maybe 2), you might win the Super Bowl
If you’re No 10 in Divisions 3-8, you don’t deserve to make the playoffs
Seems real fair
Bishop Feehan destroyed two undefeated teams as a 14 seed in 2022. And that was in D2. And that's off the top of my head. So bad argument. First round blow outs way worse in hockey, lax, and we're not cutting those fields.
When has a 9-16 in this format ever done anything?Football is very is different from other sports, after top 2 or 3 seeds there's a big dropoff. The first-round games in the football playoffs are a joke.
