    Urgent and Emergency Care Waiting Time Statistics for Northern Ireland April – June 2026 were published today by @healthdpt 🔗 Read the full report: health-ni.gov.uk/publications/n…
    There were 71,018 urgent and emergency department (ED) attendances during June 2026. 54,572 (76.8%) attended a Type 1 ED, 16,446 (23.2%) attended a Type 3 ED. Type 1 ED: a consultant led 24 hour service with full resuscitation facilities. Type 3 ED: other types of ED/minor injury activity.

    19,022 babies were born in hospital in 2025/26, a 0.1% decrease from 2024/25 and a 12.7% decrease from 2021/22.
