- This is a really cool development and underscores how much the #STLCards player development group has improved over the last year and change. Ledbetter was struggling, got some extra attention on the development list, and has come back strong. We’ve seen lots of fringe guysWhile I’m not sure it makes sense from a defensive standpoint, I hope the Cardinals are at least internally discussing a call-up for Colton Ledbetter. Since June 12th, he’s slashing .323/.387/.543 for a .929 OPS, and his quality of contact has been off the charts.
