I could have stayed on the sidelines and complained about our broken permitting system, but I believe that if you see a problem this serious, you ought to do what you can to help fix it. It’s time to get America building again. 🏗️

I had a great, candid conversation about trading the boardroom for the Senate floor with @adamgoodman on the @13thandPark podcast. With just a few months left in this Congress, I’ve got a clear mission and a clock ticking. Permitting reform isn’t just a technical policy issue –

The capital is there, the demand is there, and the blueprints are ready to go – the only thing standing in the way of building out our electric grid is a broken federal permitting process. It’s time to get America building again!

Permitting reform isn’t about picking winners and losers in energy – pipelines, transmission lines, nuclear, and renewables all suffer from the same exact delays. If we want affordable, reliable energy and true economic growth, we MUST get America building again.
