    Brianna Rick, a doctoral graduate of geosciences, studies the hazards that Alaska's glacier-dammed lakes can create. Her research shows how these lakes are changing as global temperatures rise, and we can expect to see new lakes as side valleys deglaciate. col.st/dBOnR
