    It doesn't matter who wins the AI race. Any of today's leading labs could stumble, and that won't change the underlying fact – we have discovered how to manufacture intelligence. The more we make, the cheaper it gets. All eyes on the learning curve.

    1/ The Big Seven – Alphabet, Amazon, CoreWeave, Meta, Microsoft, Nebius, Oracle – expect to spend $863bn in capex in 2026, 88% more than last year. We estimate $550bn will be AI-related. But headline capex doesn’t tell you when that spending starts to earn or cost.
