- Just thinking what might have been - he turned down Vandy to sign with Mets as No. 19 draft choice...In 2020, his senior year, he was batting .514 before the baseball season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He committed to play college baseball at Vanderbilt in 2020.
- Dallas Cowboys involved in a tie for the first time since 24-24 in 1969 - 56 years vs. the San Francisco 49ers - never had a tie at Texas Stadium from 1971-2008....
- Congratulations to DBU for a 34-5 season and tie for third (best ever finish) in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight - 94-83 loss in overtime to Cal State Dominguez Hills - great job by Dr. Ryan Flickner and his 2024-25 Patriots...
- Mitch - So sorry to hear about the passing of Greg Sharpe - all-time good guy in the profession...Nebraska baseball is underway in Arizona against Grand Canyon for the finale of a four-game opening weekend. Sophomore reliever Tucker Timmerman is back home, facing surgery for a fractured bone after he took a hard one-hopper near his left eye Saturday against Vanderbilt.
