    Some AI-generated phrases are clearly anthropomorphic hallucinations (“I tend to enjoy lagers”) while others seem anthropomorphic but are totally valid (“to my mind, this is a cool consequence”).

    This guy’s getting unfairly dragged. Talking about language learning is hard because the online community is full of people who (1) are naturally linguistically talented, (2) have figured out effective study skills, and (3) have personally invested years of their lives into it.

    my grandfather wrote a memoir that I couldn't read after he passed, I tried to learn Chinese but progress was slow this year, I translated it with AI and designed a bilingual edition. it turned out way better than I could have imagined
