Someone would still try, using the same "NCAA applies its rules selectively" argument, and from what we've seen so far the judges would probably agree.

They would be out of the age based range. It won't be 6 for 5 etc.

This may seem like an easy answer, but guess who's going to sue next if they do that? Class of 2021. They'd be the only ones left since 2020 that didn't get a waiver.

The NCAA can keep sending lawyers from courtroom to courtroom, or it can finally address the decision that started this mess. Grant the Class of 2022 a blanket waiver for 2026-27. My column on the chaos, contradictions and the clearest way out: austinmasseysbi.substack.com/p/the-ncaa-say…

Even if there's more state lawsuits, if you're the NCAA you'd much rather have those small pockets instead of *25,000* athletes dumped into the system at once.

The NCAA will now leverage this ruling to aggressively appeal the state case injunctions as well. As I’ve said from the beginning, time is on the side of the NCAA. Just keep punting and gaining yards while running out the clock.

Former FSU and BC quarterback Thomas Castellanos became eligible for a fifth year today with a court ruling in Kentucky and will enter the portal. Keep an eye on Texas Tech for his landing spot.

No idea about the jurisdiction issue. but one thing I've learned about our legal system through Sorsby, Bediako, Chambliss and now all these 2022 cases is judges can make up new rules on the fly.

How can a State judge in Louisiana allow a kid to cross State lines to play at a college in another State? It seems like he would have no jurisdiction to do that and his TRO would be worthless. Plus, since these teams play across State lines, couldn't the NCAA just rule the kids
