Waiting on better value from ASML. If it doesn't happen and I miss it oh well. Micron has been good to me so far. Buying more tomorrow

I hope so. Wish I bought more but yesterdays scare made me take out 10 shares for profit.. I'm up $2800 total in 10 days from 70 Intel, 15 AMD, 12 micron technologies and 5 broadcom

Bitcoin or stock market? by Artistic_Strategy_94 in StocksAndTrading

[–]Immapillpopnanimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. Bitcoin is not as profitable at these high prices. Low price stocks and cryptocurrency will make more but both markets are high priced for anything blue chip status. Once you accumulate enough capital you can invest in the larger cap stocks that almost always go up in the long run. I'm pretty confident on Bitcoin and ethereum but I'm way more confident in AMD, Intel, micron technologies and broadcom which is where most of my money is sitting. A certificate of deposit wouldn't hurt either. I have a 4 month myself at the moment

Who is selling their stocks before oil/fertiliser supply shocks rock the global economy? by EmergentArticle in StockMarket

[–]Immapillpopnanimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually bought 40 shares of $MOS at about 23.50 and sold at a little over 24. I thought because they are US based they wouldn't be so effected by the supply issues the war is causing. I sold because I felt like it was still a tad early, and put the money in other investments that seemed like better bets at the time. However, I may repurchase my position if further research and outlook / sentiment is positive

[–]Immapillpopnanimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or maybe just short fertilizer stocks . Or don't. The question is will the supply issue and price increase hurt the companies themselves or will that pain be passed down to the clients and customers.. will the customers boycott as protest. Can they afford to? So much questions, so many economics

If your already in you should stay in. Don't buy in now. Lol

OP you can still buy back in though. If you already made profit and get back in before prices rise it's like you never even left in the first place. I'm about to sell everything too but only because I have to switch brokers

I started investing 5 years ago, and I’m still in the red. by maximalsimplicity in stocks

I'm 31 and just recently started investing. Long time lurker and finance was what I went to college for. Been living paycheck to paycheck for the last 10 years and ended up getting my grandmothers house when she passed away. I didn't receive anything crazy but enough to put a down payment on a house once I fix my credit and hopefully rates go down. Anyways, I'm no expert either but wanted to tell you not to let past performance and mistakes dictate your future investments and strategies. You learn from them, that's what they are for. Your friends are asking you advice because you have skin in the game and are atleast more informed than them. Don't give advice you wouldn't follow yourself and remind them your not an expert and they should do their own research. I literally Google the stock. I ask what the company does, if they have been profitable, if they have had any recent legal troubles, stock splits, acquisitions. Ect.. then I look on reddit for any relative posts. Just for outside perspectives incase I'm looking at things all wrong. Most of the time asking Google assistant can get you most of what you want to know. But it can make mistakes so keep that in mind. Good luck

PS - almost everything I have is in the green. Mostly semiconductor and tech, and a few cryptocurrencies. (Bitcoin, chainlink, stellar, cardano, ondo finance)

Do you keep long term investing and short term trades separate or in one account? by BoringContribution7 in stocks

[–]Immapillpopnanimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm using kraken pro for everything currently. But recently I heard I may be missing out on dividends and voting ect.. but in order to move my positions to a fidelity account I have to repurchase all my positions with them first and then sell what I have on kraken so as to not miss out on any gains. Very annoying

Good looks on trying to help. I didn't lose anything but had a scare and attempted phishing through a lookalike trust wallet app. Was trying to get into Defi. After the fact I stopped playing games with my finances. I have a trezor 7 and I'm putting my Bitcoin on a Bitcoin only bitbox02 just for safe keeping. Had multiple dusting attempts after that of ethereum and a couple other sketchy tokens. So far so good. I'd also recommend anyone with large amounts of crypto keep a computer just for that with Linux

Fertilizer trade - still early? $MOS $CF by No_Hovercraft5448 in wallstreetbets

[–]Immapillpopnanimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 40 shares of mosaic at 23.98 and sold them at 24.50 to buy more micron technologies.. but Monday I'm transferring some money to repurchase a new position possibly larger but not much. Just using it as a little diversification from my mainly AI and semiconductor heavy portfolio.

how do i start yield farming in defi as a beginner without losing my money? by Few-Persimmon-5536 in defi

[–]Immapillpopnanimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interest rates don't matter as much as the amount you put in. 5 percent sounds great but that's only 5 bucks a year for every 100 you put in. Not worth the time to put in less than 100k for something like that and I'm not risking those amounts on Defi protocols. Money market accounts / brokerages and CD's are way safer

I got in the other day at 24 a share. Just 40 shares for now. So far so good. Guess you were a little early but thanks for the tip
