Hi catholic here but I explored my faith with the Bible. Imo you don't really need to confess to a priest to be forgiven. One way to do it is to confess to yourself and to God directly through personal prayer sessions. Kausapin mo si Lord personally, lahat ng gusto mong sabihin, iconfess mo. And understand that you are wrong but you are Forgiven.

1 John 1:9 (NIV) " If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

Another way us to actually confess (or admit) to whoever you have done wrong. Pero of course depende parin yan sa situation nyo. Confession is strong dahil you admit and accept the fact na you did something wrong and wanted to be forgiven, and the beautiful thing about God is that he is merciful and loving.
