How the concrete canoe team builds a boat that shouldn't float , videoThe concrete canoe team designs and races a fully functional canoe made from a lightweight, carefully engineered concrete mix, balancing buoyancy and strength. Each year, the team competes in the American Society of Civil Engineers' student symposium. During the 2024 – 2025 school year, the team swept all four competition categories at the regional level. They went on to place 2nd overall at the national symposium.
