Carolina North is envisioned as a public-facing campus that will expand UNC-Chapel Hill’s capacity for teaching, research, innovation, housing, health and community interaction.
Work is already underway on the new Jackson Hall, one of Carolina’s first two new residence halls in 20 years.
Roof replacement is now underway for the northern section of the Frank Porter Graham Student Union and is expected to be completed by Dec. 27, 2026.
