Welcome

The University Ombuds Office provides a protected space where all Carolina staff, faculty, students, and administrators are welcome to visit and talk in confidence about any campus issue, problem, or conflict. Our office supplements, but does not replace, the University’s formal channels, such as grievance policies.

Schedule an appointment with us as a first step, last resort, or anywhere along the way. Come and share your concerns, evaluate your situation, and plan your next step—if you want to take a next step.

Use of our services is voluntary and free. Visitors will find our office a welcoming space to discuss their concerns, no matter how large or small. We invite conversations about any aspect of your experience at Carolina, whether you have a challenge you want to overcome, good news you would like to share, or ideas for improving the University as a whole.
