Official music links stay with their services
You can paste YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music links into a TapeMuse mixtape or original song brief. We treat those URLs as references to the songs already meaningful to you. When available, TapeMuse reads safe metadata such as the title, artwork, author, and provider so the page can show a useful track label. Playback stays with the official service. We do not download, cache, separate, extract, or rehost the audio, video, lyrics, or vocals from those links, and we do not upload a linked recording into a music-generation model.
Free mixtape and original song are different products
The free online mixtape maker is a presentation tool for existing music. It accepts official links, a note, and a retro wrapper, then creates a private page that sends the listener back to the source service. It does not create a new MP3 and does not use song-generation credits. The original song flow is different: it uses your story, feeling, sound, and language to request a new theme song and prepares a preview for your private gift page. The distinction keeps the free experience useful and the paid experience easy to understand.
Your story is used to make your gift
The memory field is there to provide creative context: who the recipient is, what happened, what you want to say, and how the song should feel. The Mixtape Guide reads the written story and selected choices, never the audio behind a reference link. The creator can edit the direction and lyrics before sharing. The private share page is intended for the people who receive the link, while public SEO pages describe the product without exposing individual gift memories.
Private page, controlled sharing
Finished gifts use a private share token rather than being listed as public profiles. The creator can copy the page link, use email delivery when configured, or send it in a card or message. Recipients do not need a TapeMuse account to open the page. Creator tools such as line-by-line lyric editing, collaborator invitations, and delivery controls remain behind the signed-in workspace. A collaborator is invited by email and can be revoked by the creator.
Lyrics remain a human-reviewed part of the gift
Generated lyrics are drafts that should be reviewed before a personal page is shared. TapeMuse supports editing individual lines so the creator can correct a name, add a detail, remove a cliché, or make the tone sound natural. We do not present a generated draft as a verified quotation or as the recipient’s own words. The final gift should carry the sender’s judgment, especially for weddings, proposals, family stories, and messages that include several contributors.
Short voice notes are live; voice cloning is not
You can record your own voice to play before the songs: up to 15 seconds on a mixtape, and up to 45 seconds with an original song. Recipients can skip it. This is your recording, not a cloned voice, and it is stored privately with the gift. Voice cloning is not available. A person should always know when their voice is being recorded and why.
Honest product pages are part of trust
TapeMuse does not publish invented ratings, fake customer quotes, or aggregate review markup without a real source. Public pages use FAQ, HowTo, Article, CollectionPage, and WebPage structured data only when the matching content is visibly present on the page. Private share pages are not intended as SEO landing pages and remain noindex. Pricing states the exact one-time credits and song counts, while failed provider or media steps follow the server-side refund path. If a feature is planned rather than available, the page labels it as planned instead of describing it as a current capability.
