    No. Restoring the layout puts every element back in its original position with all motion cleared.

    Why do the pieces spin?

    Each element picks up angular velocity when it hits something. It stops the pile from stacking neatly, which is what makes it look like a collapse rather than a list.

    Does it work on touchscreens?

    Yes. Dragging and flinging work the same way with a finger, and the pile responds to throws identically.
