Germany's finance ministry has drafted a plan to end the one-year tax exemption on bitcoin. Under the draft, coins bought after Dec 31, 2026 would pay a flat 25% tax however long you hold. Earlier buys keep today's rules. Still a draft. Nothing has passed.
