Also, starting Tuesday longer trains are coming to the Blue Line! We will be adding some 10-car and 8-car trains to the Blue line in the morning and afternoon. And another 8 car train is coming to the Green line too!

Tomorrow is All Aboard Transit Day! Transit agencies are encouraging people to hop onboard their systems to experience their recent service and customer experience improvements. BART staff will be stationed throughout the system to hand out special stickers to riders!

Service alert: Free buses will replace train service between Union City and Warm Springs/South Fremont stations this weekend (September 12-13) while BART crews replace an aging interlocking. Here is footage of BART crews working to replace the interlocking earlier this summer⬇️

Update: Green line service has been restored after BART crews worked overnight to make more repairs to equipment damaged by the fire at a traction power substation near Daly City Station.

At this morning’s BART Board Meeting Assistant General Manager of Operations Sylvia Lamb provided an update on the Tuesday night fire at a traction power substation near Daly City Station. Lamb said the leading cause of the fire appears to be extreme heat. Thread ⬇️
