The speed that AI changed the whole developer landscape is something that's hard to describe. The software I'm the most proud of can now be recreated in a fraction of the time and much better, but I do miss the nights where I slowly added more and more. Mastery is different now

There's a golden number in here (for most it's one max subscription) where going over leads to inefficient workflows (token harder!) Constraints are the fuel to innovation

Although you pay for AI by the token, that's not the unit of inference, because you get more problem solving per token as models improve. Someone needs to define the unit, perhaps using a chain of increasingly hard problems, each pair of which can be solved by a single model.

Something I've come to realize is that "attention is all you have" is the key multiplier. We as people can only focus on a few things, and it's important to focus on the right ones. Too many projects and we lose control of the direction. It's a fun problem to tinker on!
