The lecture series is organized by students from the Environmental Department of the Student Council and takes place every Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in a hybrid format. STOP. DOING. THIS. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 It is useless busywork of absolutely zero legal value and potentially negative operational value. It creates a "wall" of useless commits in your commit stream. Her talk on "Smart Cities - Enabling Technology to Achieve Sustainability and Quality of Life" inspired thoughtful discussion and reflection among our students and participants. In her lecture, Prof. Dr. Iris Belle shared insights that have greatly enriched our understanding of the urban challenges we face and the potential solutions offered by smart cities. Creating sustainability and quality of life in cities through technology is the key takeaway. 🌳 🌆 The Environmental Lecture Series is an open course that has been taking place for almost 40 years now, organized by students of the Environmental Department of the Student Representation at TUM. It is informative, critical, and offers interested students from all backgrounds and a diverse public the opportunity to learn about sustainability and to discuss dedicated topics and research results on a scientific level. Today, we’re launching Version 2 of Amp Assist, and I want to share what it took to get here. Building V1 taught us everything. The hardest challenge was, without question, taming a naturally wild, non-deterministic AI model to follow a specific conversation path reliably—handling real-time conversations while simultaneously calling remote tools in the background, pulling live charger data, and diagnosing faults, all without breaking the flow or forcing a driver to sit through dead silence. It sounds simple. It isn’t. But the bigger lesson came late one night after running hundreds of tests on Nexus. I realized this architecture got us started, but it is not the one we should scale with. That single moment triggered a complete rethink of both products. Here is what V2 delivers: 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲 now mirrors how charging networks and CSMS data actually work. It monitors your network 24/7, correlates signals across chargers, connectivity, and sessions, automatically identifies root causes, and triggers resolution before your team even knows there is a problem. No more jumping between four to ten systems to figure out what went wrong. 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘂𝘀 is a completely rebuilt omnichannel contact center for EV drivers—voice, WhatsApp, chat, email, and tickets. It handles every driver interaction end to end, with full live charger context, so support stops being a guessing game and starts actually resolving issues. More robust, more flexible, and genuinely deterministic at scale. What V2 really unlocks is the connection between them. Data, insights, and actions now flow across Pulse and Nexus as a single platform. That means deeper operational intelligence, proactive issue prevention, and a support experience that finally feels seamless for both operators and drivers. Drivers: happy. Charging: working. How? On autopilot. Year one proved we could build it. Year two proves it scales. Grateful to be building this with Patrick Roelke , Manuel Fernandes , and the entire Amp Assist team. 🚀

The work behind it focused on ice crystal icing in aero engines — from particle impact to accretion and shedding — with the aim of better understanding and predicting conditions that affect engine performance and operability. I’m deeply grateful to my supervisors and mentors for their guidance (and patience), to colleagues and collaborators across Airbus, Technische Universität Darmstadt, the MUSIC-HAIC project, and beyond for countless discussions and shared problem-solving, and to everyone who contributed to the experiments, setups, and data behind this work. A special thank you to friends and lab mates who made the day-to-day enjoyable — and to those who kept asking “so… how’s the PhD going?”. A special thanks to my colleagues at SurfLabX for having my back while I was finishing the thesis alongside our ongoing work — and for continuing to push these topics into practical application. Das Problem: Die IT versteht oft nicht, welche Kennzahlen im Pflegealltag wirklich wichtig sind. Aber jetzt gibt es eine andere Lösung. Durch einen strukturierten Datenkatalog können Pflegefachkräfte selbst auf alle verfügbaren Daten zugreifen. Sie picken sich genau die Informationen raus, die sie brauchen. So entstehen Dashboards, die perfekt zum eigenen Arbeitskontext passen: ➡️ Welche Patienten sind heute da und wie viele? ➡️ Was sind für Behandlungen geplant und wie komplex sind sie? ➡️ Wie ist die aktuelle Auslastung? ➡️ Wie sieht die Erlössituation aus? Alles zusammen aggregiert. Genau so, wie es für den jeweiligen Arbeitsbereich Sinn macht. Das funktioniert ähnlich wie bei einer BI-Analyse. Nur dass jetzt die Fachleute selbst die Auswertungen machen können. Welche Kennzahlen wären für deinen Pflegebereich am wichtigsten?
