Welcome — you made it. This is your starting point for the Learning AI Hackathon, and everything you need to get going is right here on this page.
Before you dive into the plugin, watch the first two short videos below in the 'Videos' section. They'll show you exactly how this works and what to expect.
Pre-requisites
A few things to have ready before your first session:
-
A laptop (Mac or Windows both work)
-
A paid (Pro or Max) Claude.ai account — sign up at claude.ai
-
The speech-to-text app we recommend (link below)
-
About 30 minutes of uninterrupted time to get set up
How It Works
This hackathon uses a learning plugin that guides you through building with AI step by step. Think of it as a built-in coach that lives right inside your coding environment — asking you questions, giving you feedback, and helping you move forward when you get stuck.
Here's the basic flow:
- Watch the videos and understand the key concepts
- Install the plugin
- Open a new project folder
- Run /onboard and follow the prompts
The videos introduce you to the ideas. The plugin does the heavy lifting. Your job is to keep going.
Getting Started
First, watch the two orientation videos below, "How to vibe code like a pro" and "Learning plugin walkthrough." This will show you the prompting techniques we'll use and give you and overview of the plugin structure.
Then, to install the plugin, you have two options:
If you're new to Claude Code, watch the installation video below first ("Claude Code and plugin installation"), then follow the steps below.
If you've used Claude Code before, install the marketplace and plugin according to these plugin setup cheat sheet instructions. Then fire up Claude Code and run /onboard to get started.
