As an American I hate our tipping culture. I still tip servers and delivery drivers generously, but I really wish I could just pay a flat rate everywhere. Hope one day it'll be mandatory for restaurants to just pay fucking wages.

But that's not the world we live in, if youre ordering delivery in that kind of weather youre an asshole if you dont tip.

I wish we would just change the laws and make tipping culture a thing of the past. Why is the burden left on me to pay your staff? That's the whole point of employment. You run a business, you pay people to help you run that business. I still tip more than enough, but I'm gonna stay salty about it. Buying a product should pay everyone involved in giving me that product, end of story.

I'm with him. I got pissed off recently, I went to a con in DC recently, parked at a garage where their only payment machine was broken. No signage for it, the only way to realize it is when you go to pay when you leave. I only had cash on me. I went to leave and they told me it was cash only. Nothing more frustrating than being financially able to pay for something but someone rejecting your ACTUAL PHYSICAL FUCKING MONEY.

As somebody who has been robbed at gunpoint I say good. Fuck you. It is a TRAUMATIZING experience. I was shook up and couldn't stop thinking about it for 2 weeks straight. I get jumpy when I'm walking down the sidewalk and a jogger approaches me from behind. I constantly check my surroundings and question EVERYONE who walks by me. Sure he didn't kill someone and sure it was a stupid decision, but the effect it has on someone is lifelong.
