it feels like a massive power grab disguised as protecting kids. There is so much buzz around online ID lately. Even the Reddit CEO mentioned that we need these systems to fight off AI bots and verify real users. But why hand over passports to every single site? It feels like they just want to track everything we do online.

I recently checked out a local Orb to see how that proof of human stuff works. It is better than giving a gov ID to a shady site that will probly get hacked anyway. We need ways to prove we are real peopple.
