Low grade education system by isunisun__ in ICSE

Couldn't agree more. I'm a 10th grader who is genuinely interested about this stuff and I think one shouldn't touch AI before they no claculus and linear algebra, or robotics before they have done ME or EE. Honestly, AI has a lower barrier of entry than robotics... but NONE requires 5th grade pre requisite knowledge. One can learn 10x more in 2 weeks when they seriously study AI than they would in 5 years of studying school AI.. so why take the extra burden for 5-7 years???

My class 10 "AI" reference book is like thicker than my Ian Goodfellow... we all know which one's a more productive read.

Instead of:

Text → BERT → LSTM → Dense → Output

You usually do:

Text → BERT → Dense → Output

It is called HUMOR in programming to over complicate stuff with no reason.

As a student interested in research, science fairs and all... I can confirm that the research scene in India is pretty messed-up... But at this scale... its crazy

Has anyone done AI app development that integrates computer vision? Looking for real-world experiences, not blog posts. by Cluten-morgan in learnmachinelearning

I don't know if this is relevant, but I once faced a problem in the classification of lung diseases because of different exposures of films (similar to lighting) in addition to improper patient posture. The results improved after we artificially augmented even the good pictures. Additionally, if you are using ViTs, local attention might help. Reducing the kernel size should be the equivalent for CNNs.

They should not! This isn't about religion; this is about the mentality of people in a country where secularism is a part of the preamble.
