Code

All code written for SheHacks+ must be written between 10:00PM EST on Friday, January 12th, 2024, and 10:00AM EST on Sunday, January 14th, 2024, with the exception of code taken from public and open-source libraries, APIs, or tutorials.

Dates

January 12th - 14th, 2024.

Eligibility

All women and non-binary students are eligible for SheHacks+. Participants must be 18 or older.

All hackers must abide by the MLH code of conduct: https://static.mlh.io/docs/mlh-code-of-conduct.pdf

Graphics

All art assets brought into SheHacks+ for your project must be free and publicly available.

Planning

Students are free to bring codeless wireframes for the layout of their projects. Hardware may be prototyped in advance to optimize the shape and size of parts, but the actual project presented for submission must be assembled at SheHacks+.

Project and Submission Requirements

Create a hack during our 36-hour hackathon! There is no requirement for what has to be included in the project, though some prizes have requirements on technologies used. Submit by 9AM EST on January 14th, 2024 to be eligible to win.

Originality

The final product must be original: it must not be the same as the product of a tutorial, a submission to a previous hackathon, or a personal project completed before SheHacks+. Attendees are trusted to ensure the originality of their projects in good faith. SheHacks+ retains the right to inspect the source code of projects in case of a dispute. All projects and intellectual property produced at SheHacks+ belong to the attendees who produced them. If you post a video to aid your submission, it must be uploaded during the weekend and within 3 minutes.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

All team members must be physically present during judging to be eligible for prizes. Team members must all be participants of SheHacks+ 8 and must have registered during guest registry on January 12th.
