Oh hey! Haven’t seen this in forever! Didn’t reblog it when it came across me before, not gonna skip it this time, I need some good vibes.
Do you think it was a missed opportunity to not have Vilgax as the main villain in 5yl.
Mostly because it feels weird to have Danny Phantom arch enemy and team him up with some other ben villain, instead of Ben 10 own arch enemy.
Not really as the writers kind of ran out of ideas for him after the whole Dagon storyline, fighting No Watch Ben and the other good Bens, and merging with Malware. Maybe if he appeared as a surprise minor villain, showing us what happened to him after the attack on Galvan Prime, as it was stated by someone that no one has seen him in years.
At least with Eon and how we have seen him travel to other universes/timelines, it makes sense for a story where alternate universes play a role in the plot.
I would have loved to have seen Zs'Skayr appear and fight Danny though.
Happy 10th anniversary to the Ratchet & Clank 2016 reimagining game.
While flawed here and there, and did cause a bit of a bump in the road down the line for the fandom's new fans when it comes to continuity and lore, it was still a fun game.
It's still funny that apparently Sony didn't want such a game to be made, yet it would go on to be the fastest selling Ratchet & Clank game yet. This and how big Insomniac Games has gotten since then solidifies the future of the Ratchet & Clank series...at least till at least after 3 more big R&C games AND another trilogy that could count as a finale for the OG duo, but feel free to ask me more about that later.
I just realized that while other Yugioh characters like Mai, Pegasus Weevil, and Rex got a lot of screen time in the Orichalcos filler arc, Mako didn't appear at all in it.
That is a bummer as he is a good character who is just unlucky in the series and he really deserved more screen time in general, yet he was looked over by the anime crew when the arc was being worked on. Imagine him helping Yugi and co. throughout the arc, like he could man a boat to help them get to Dartz' island.
I also could see him having a big role in comforting the Pharaoh once Yugi is lost, as Mako knows how that feels after losing his father years ago. Maybe in the end he gets closure about his dad somehow.
Peter Cottontail's Holiday themed Easter Eggs
Around this time is my annual reminder that the company that made "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" made other holiday specials, like 2 Easter specials.
In the special "Here Comes Peter Cottontail" a series of events leads to Peter (voiced by the VA of OG Shaggy from Scooby Doo BTW) coming up with the idea to give out "Holiday Eggs". I'm surprised something like that isn't done much today in the art community. Yeah I can recall a few times, but still.
I thought it would be fun to post the images of said holiday eggs in order of appearance, as maybe the idea could catch on in later years.
FanScription is back!
After months since they hinted at its return, the next episode of Channel Awesome's series has been revealed.
Its return is not only good timing, but the Hercules vs. Thor theme is fitting as after learning about the Hercules animated series years ago, I know that it had an episode where Herc interacted with the Norse pantheon. While its him vs. Marvel's Thor, I hope to see some story elements from the Herc episode in it.
Also hoping this will be a sequel to the previous Hercules centered FanScription episode.
Talwyn Apogee from Ratchet and Clank, specifically Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus where she's voiced by Ali Hillis

I always liked the change of Ali Hillis voicing Talwyn Apogee.
The best part is that Ali Hillis has also voiced characters in both the 2016 R&C game and Rift Apart, which gives me hope that she will return to voice Talwyn again in the Lombax Dimension game.
Do it Insomniac Games!
Do you think ratchet not wanting to find the lombaxs, because he was scared of being a disappointment to them, was a stupid retcon?
Sorry if this seems out of nowhere. But I wanted to talk about this to another rac fan for a long time.
I don't think it was really a retcon, but just one of a few reasons (this being the newest) why he didn't want to try and find them at that point.
In Rift Apart there are other moments from him where he brings up other reasons for not trying to find them. One was something similar to his ITN reasoning where there is more for him in his own universe then with the Lombaxes. There was also dialogue implying that after the Dimensionator centered events of TOD, ITN (and probably some elements for ACIT) Ratchet, at that point, just doesn't want to risk trying to find them at all or something dangerous would happen, and was kind of proven right.
Still it would have been nice if the story of Rift Apart (which I think could have been a bit better) did go into deeper details about how since we last saw Ratchet, he has had a lot of time to think about such things, like what if he met the Lombaxes and how it made him a bit nervous like anyone would be.
I respect your opinion.
But I still think ratchet wanted to find the lombaxes is pretty redundant, because the lombaxes dimension looks safe and I don't think they want to move back home.
Plus ratchet would have a hard time trying to fit in with culture, he never grew up in.
But there is one thing, us rac fans agree on. Why did insomniac not include Dr nefarious butler.
Well I wouldn't blame him if he wanted to visit the Lombaxes from time and time again, and learn about his culture first hand instead of reading from artifacts, old text, etc. If not him, then helping characters like Talwyn, Rivet, and Kit do so. Its not hard to do such a thing.
I'm actually hoping that in the Lombax Dimension game, a second Great War is happening, but you can read more about my ideas for that game HERE.
Yeah Lawrence should have at least appeared at the beginning of the game alongside Nefarious. We could have gotten a joke where during the bridge scene, he gets a call saying his wife is "giving birth" and leaves. The writers left him out cause Rift Apart pandered a bit TOO MUCH to the fans introduced via the 2016 game and movie.
Honestly, if you like ratchet want to find the lombaxes again, more power to you. Fans can have different options from one another.
Also, if insomniac didn't include Lawrence because he wasn't in the movie. Maybe have the tutorial be the museum from itn and have a room dedicated to each rnc game, letting them get a rundown on the previous games plot and characters.
Btw, do you think throwing away Dr nefarious change of heart after all 4 for one, was wasted potential?
IG just needs to release a R&C Future game saga collection in order to help new fans catch up on the lore.
I knew after A4O they weren't going to make Nefarious 100% good, but Rift Apart had some moments where Nefarious seems to be implementing what he went through in that game, like he looks truly sorry when it was revealed his entire universe was going to be invaded, and how at the end of the game he chose to not take over Emperor Nefarious but go home and visit Lawrence and his family.

For the past few years I have been talking about ideas for Ratchet & Clank games, and recently I got 2 more. These are good for shorter R&C games, like those that would be as long as ITN/ or the 2016 game.
The first idea is one where for a while now people in the R&C univese have been doing a holonet challenge where they retrace the steps of Ratchet, Clank, and even Qwark’s various adventures, leading to dumb accidents yet people blame the trio for these things. Recently though several people trying to do this have gone missing, so Ratchet and Clank decided to try and find them.
This is a game with a good excuse to return to old planets and use older weapons, and help new fans catch up on the non 2016 events of the R&C series. The main villain could be a huge Ratchet and Clank (and also Qwark) hater XD.
The second idea is one that could be used for another Talwyn spinoff game. It takes place around the events of ACIT, as Talwyn follows a lead about her missing father.
This would explain why she isn’t in ACIT despite her aid in the last 2 games, and her actions could be the reason that lead to that radio message in ACIT about how her father’s missing ship has been found and originating from Jasindu.
Do you think these would be fun small games?

One older trope I'm starting to hate when thinking back when it was more popular/constant is the "child genius who is basically a mini adult" trope, you know when there is a very smart kid character in a series that is the most mature among his age group, but as a consequence to their intellect the idea of doing anything a kid his age would do is alien/beyond his comprehension and would have to be taught things.
This is why Jimmy Neutron is so beloved as among other reasons for that shows success, he uses his genius to both do clever things AND have fun, which was a big change at the time.
