CCLEAR's methodology is locked and published. Every figure is anchored to a public SEC EDGAR filing, hand-verified rather than model-inferred, and released against an explicit data-as-of date.

How the record is built

• Capture: 100% of Form C, Form C-U, and Form C-AR filings since May 2016.
• Verification: human review of edge cases and reconciliation against funding-portal disclosures — not AI inference.
• Discipline: a stated data-as-of date on every publication, so results are reproducible.
• Enrichment: geography, sector, demographic, platform, and outcome fields that raw EDGAR data does not provide.
